Evangelization through the Adult Catechumenate / Malcolm Grundy. --  Nottingham : Grove Books, 1991. --  A short handbook on the adult way to faith; recommended as an introduction for lay people in the parish.

Adult Way to Faith : a Practical Handbook. / Peter Ball. --  London : Mowbray, 1992. -- This provides a handbook for clergy and lay people introducing the catechumenate. It contains training material and specimen liturgies to photocopy (but now superseded by Faith on the Way).

On the Way: Towards an Integrated Approach to Christian Initiation. --  London : Church House Publishing, 1995. --  The report of the House of Bishops Working Party on Nurture in Faith and the Catechumenate.

Making RCIA Work. / Christine Dodd. -- London : Geoffrey Chapman, 1993. --  A full guide for leaders of groups accompanying people into faith; the Bible, the Christian tradition and everyday life provide the materials.

Common Worship : Christian Initiation. -- London : Church House Publishing, 2006. --  The official text for 'Rites on the Way', includes baptism and confirmation services and supplementary material. A commentary by the Church of England Liturgical Commission on Christian initiation, including 'Rites on the Way', is included at the back of the book.

Using Common Worship Initiation Services : a Practical Guide to the New Services / Gilly Myers. --  London : Church House Publishing, 2000. --  A guide book that concentrates on liturgical practice; the catechumenate is not mentioned

Catechesis Resources for Individuals and Groups

Emmaus : the Way of Faith. -- Stage 2 : Nurture. -- 2nd ed. --  London : Church House Publishing, 2003. --  The Emmaus multi-volume set of study materials incorporates a staged approach to faith formation and Christian initiation. Of the three stages, the Stage Two material is a 15-session course which includes some liturgical material to welcome enquirers, and to welcome recently baptized and/or confirmed candidates in their local church. A Year of Sundays : Gospel Reflections [year]. -- Collegeville, Minnesota : Liturgical Press. --  A pocket-sized annual publication relating to the Roman Catholic Lectionary, and containing brief meditations on the gospel for each week through the year. It originates from the Diocese of Little Rock, www.littlerockscripture.org 

The RCIA Journey : a Resource for the Catechumenate / Deborah M. Jones. --  Mystic, CT : Twenty-third Publications, 1997. --  Contains twenty sessions for small groups, guidelines on how to run the groups, and a list of Sunday themes (for the Roman Lectionary).

Guided Meditations for Adult Catechumens / Sydney Ann Merritt. --  San Jose, CA : Resource Publications, 1999. --  Contains forty-two guided meditation sessions related to the liturgical year and the stages of the catechumenate, and includes music suggestions and follow-up questions.

Word and Worship Workbook : for Ministry in Initiation, Preaching, Religious Education and Formation / Mary Birmingham. --  New York : Paulist Press, 2000. --  Separate volumes for Years A, B, C. This is a very substantial resource that includes commentaries on all the scripture readings as well as listing doctrinal themes and including weekly prayers.

United States Catholic Catechism for Adults / United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. --  Washington, DC : USCCB, 2006. -- This substantial and well-indexed volume parallels the Catechism of the Catholic Church and quotes it extensively. It includes additional material to assist with catechesis and learning. Each chapter includes questions for discussion, a short meditation, and a prayer. The structure of each of the 36 chapters is: 1. Story or lesson of faith; 2. Teaching: foundation and application; 3. Boxouts, with three quotes from CCC, and sometimes additional information or stories; 4. Questions for discussion; 5. List of brief doctrinal statements; 6. Meditation; 7. Prayer.
